Flying a Model of the RC Airplane you have just build on your own is great fun. It is one activity that a lot of people enjoy in their spare time.

Many people have a misconception that flying a Model RC Airplane is very expensive. However, the truth is RC airplanes today are available at a very affordable price. Besides, being inexpensive, with development in technology and modern engineering, RC airplanes have also become smaller in size and are safe to fly indoors.

Nowadays many Model RC Airplanes are easily available and you can even build one on your own, and start flying as a hobby. The airplane kit that allows you to build your RC airplane is readily available online. It will only take a couple of days to build your own RC airplane and then you can get started with flying your airplane, a good building guide i  used to work with  when i had just started to build radio controlled airplains can be found in this link, this ebook mostly gives the basics of model airplain building but it keeps you from making biginners mistakes and is worth the money.  (pecision is key when working with balsa wood or creating wing profiles …)  not once hours of work went down the drain when I had just started, and didnt know the right methods of wood working and building seacrets , shown in this E-book .

Flying a Model RC Airplane is very easy and any one can start flying without much fuss. Even kids can master flying the RC airplanes within a few days. Typically there are three forms of Model RC Airplane such as ARF (almost ready to fly), RTF (Ready to fly) and Kit form. The kit form requires you to assemble all the parts of the kit and build your airplane.

If you are a beginner to flying airplane, it is advisable to start with flying a battery powered electric Model RC Airplane. Once you master the art of flying a battery powered electric RC airplane you can move on to flying advanced airplane models such as gas-powered airplanes, also known as nitro RC airplanes. However, these planes are expensive and require additional cost of fuel and regular maintenance.

While flying your Model RC airplane is better to have a fully charged spare battery in your hand. This will help you be prepared and you will be able to fly your airplane for a longer time.

Hobby/Aviation/Radio Controlled Aircraft

Hobbies come and go with the changing of the times. For many of these recreational activities, what was once widely popular a few years ago may now be regulated to only a few because the next generation didn’t embrace a hobby with the fervor and dedication of their predecessors. However, at least one hobby has maintained its fascination with each generation over the decades and thanks to advancing technology seems well poised to continue strong into the future.

Radio controlled airplanes allow young and the young at heart alike the thrill and joy of piloting airplanes of the world from those shaped like commercial jets to small biplanes of the Great War era. Radio controlled airplanes of the world is a hobby that extends beyond the US and has captured the attention of millions of enthusiasts as they pilot airplanes of the world at parks, backyards and now even within their own homes.

For those who are interested in radio controlled aircraft, but have no experience with operating them. There are essentially three types of these aircraft than you can develop your skills with if you work with them in a particular order.

Trainers

Trainer aircraft are designed for those who have never operated a radio controlled aircraft before. These types of planes allow you to learn how to fly them easily by having a simple design, straightforward and intuitive controls and are built to offer maximum stability in flight so you can learn how to control the aircraft without being overly burdened. Trainers can use either the traditional gas motor or the newer electrical powered types. These types of radio controlled craft also come in different shapes, sizes and colors so you can choose from a variety of planes to control.

Sports

Stepping up from trainers, the next step is mastering the controls of sports aircraft. While they can also be used as trainers for beginners, sports aircraft are somewhat more advanced because you can perform several acrobatic maneuvers with them. Normally, sports aircraft are distinguished by their high wing settings, but there are also mid-body and low wing designs as well. Beginners are advised to start off with trainers, but if they have a little experience they can jump into the world of sports aircraft and learn to perform the many tricks that can be done with this type of plane.

Aerobatics

After mastering their skills with trainers and sports aircraft, the now seasoned controllers can step up to using this type of plane to show off what they have learned. Aerobatic aircraft are specifically designed for professionals who are well experienced with performed advanced maneuvers and aerobatic spins, dives and loops. These type of aircraft generally have a more advanced design that sports or trainers and often feature a low or mid-wing design. Also, they are built to perform at high speeds, often reaching over 350mph making them strictly for those who have plenty of experience.

Warbirds

Certainly one of the most popular types of aircraft, the warbirds is designed to fly at high speeds and often feature the most powerful engines of radio controlled craft. While not built for the advanced maneuvering of aerobatic planes, warbirds still require an experienced hand at the controls due to their powerful engines and high speed performance. Although, there has been a recent introduction of slower speed models as well.

Electric Motors

One significant advancement as been the development of electric radio controlled airplanes of the world that offer advantages over the traditional fossil fueled models of past several decades. Small electric airplanes of the world do not have the noise factor which can be bothersome to neighbors when flown in the backyard and also they avoid some of the maintenance problems that these types of engines have as well.

Electric radio controlled airplanes of the world make for a great way to allow beginners to join the hobby by providing a wide variety of airplanes of the world without having to deal with some of the fuss that fossil fueled radio controlled aircraft bring. In fact, there are several types of electrically powered airplanes of the world that a person can fly literally in their own residence.

Standard: These represent most models of electrically powered radio controlled airplanes of the world, coming in all different model types so you can fancy yourself controlling different types of aircraft from all eras of flying. They also happen to be quite inexpensive and are mostly made from Styrofoam so any damage that might occur can be quickly fixed with duct tape if you wish. Plus, with only two controls they make the perfect models for beginners to learn how to fly radio controlled airplanes of the world.

Slow Flyers: These type of airplanes of the world that are radio controlled literally fly slow enough that they can easily be maneuvered within the confines of a living room and cause very little, if any damage if you should accidentally hit something inside. These are perfect for days that are too cold to go outside. However, if there outdoor conditions are right and there is very little wind you can enjoy flying these airplanes of the world outdoors as well.

Advanced: These types of radio controlled airplanes of the world are generally made from plastic and balsa wood, have five to six control channels and are more maneuverable and often faster than their standard counterparts. Given how little noise they make, you will be surprised at the advance performance features that these airplanes of the world bring.

Jets

One of the more recent advancements in radio controlled planes is the jet powered models which are becoming quite popular among enthusiasts of all ages. While still somewhat more advanced than most beginners can handle, the introduction of jet engines has caused quite a stir in the radio controlled aircraft community as many of these models have been retro-fitted with jets to increase their overall speed and power. Utilizing the latest designs and impressive structure to handle the power of their motors, jets are bringing about a new wave of interest in the radio controlled aircraft field with some models exceeding 300mph.

Despite their advanced design and jet engines, there are a few models currently available that relative beginners can try out to help them gain the experience they need to handle the more advanced craft. These simpler models are built for easy maneuvering and provide more stability in flight to allow the controller to gain the experience they need. In fact, some of these craft are so small and user friendly that they can be flown indoors as well.

Once you have mastered the controls of the simple jet models, you can then take on the more advanced, powerful versions which are clearly making their mark across the country. These advanced models come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes and performance capabilities. The main difference between jets and their traditional propeller counterparts is the sheer speed that can be obtained on a regular basis with the jet engines, so a somewhat different mindset is required when handling these types of aircraft. It is advice that those who are still somewhat wet behind the ears when it comes to handling these advanced models take lessons from a professional first in order to gain the experience they need.

Whether you fly the advanced jets or stay with the simple trainers, you can enhance your experiences with radio controlled aircraft by joining a local club with offers you the chance to share your fascination of this hobby with other likeminded individuals. The fun, friendship and experience you gain by interacting with fellow enthusiasts makes the radio controlled aircraft hobby one of the most enjoyable you can experience.
